Travel Ready Mini Kit
Your Mini Kit, your choice

Mini Kit & email privacy supplement.

Updated October 12, 2026.

We store your email address and the time of your free PDF request. Your PDF downloads directly in your browser. You can also use our standalone newsletter form without downloading a PDF.

Travel emails are optional.

If you select the separate travel-tips checkbox, we record your request, its date and the wording you agreed to. Leaving it unchecked does not prevent your PDF download and does not sign you up for travel emails.

We use Resend to deliver a confirmation email only when you request travel emails. Confirmation links expire after 48 hours. Opening a link alone does not confirm your request; you must select the confirmation button. We record the confirmation time and keep consent and delivery records on our server. After you confirm, we add you to our travel-email list in Resend and send one welcome email. You may also receive occasional travel tips and guides. We record delivery failures and unsubscribe requests to stop unwanted messages.

You can withdraw your request using the preference link in your email. Withdrawing does not affect PDF access. A later PDF download does not restore a withdrawn request.

No repeat email forms.

After a successful PDF download, a secure cookie named __Host-ww-kitpass remembers this browser for 30 days from issuance. It holds a random access token, not your email. The matching record stays on our server. Downloads with the same valid token do not extend its original expiry. A different browser, cleared cookies or an expired token will require your email again. Remembered downloads do not create a new travel-email request.

Your checklist stays yours.

We do not store your packing choices or checked items with your email. “Save my progress” stores the checklist only in this browser, under wanderwise-travel-ready-web-v1. It has no automatic expiry. Use “Delete saved progress” and confirm, or clear this tool’s site data in your browser. Your browser may also remove stored data. Saving progress is optional.

The secure __Host-ww-kitform cookie protects forms and lasts up to 2 hours from issuance; opening another protected form may replace it. Temporary server-side request counters help prevent misuse. The main website’s Cookie Settings do not remove storage on this Mini Kit hostname. Clearing browser data does not delete server email records or unsubscribe you. See our Cookie Policy.

Optional analytics.

On the Mini Kit start and checklist pages, you can choose “Allow analytics” or “No thanks.” Google Analytics loads only after you allow it. This choice is separate from travel-email consent and does not affect PDF access. We respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals by leaving analytics off.

Our measurement sends page visits, PDF button use and the two guide-link clicks to our existing Google Analytics property. It does not include your email, packing choices or checked items. Google processes technical information such as your browser, device and connection information as described in its Privacy Policy. We do not load analytics on email confirmation or preference pages.

The cookie ww-kit-analytics-v1 remembers your allow or decline choice for up to 180 days. If you allow analytics, Google’s _ga cookies distinguish browsers and sessions; this tool requests a maximum lifetime of 180 days without extending it on later visits. Browser settings may remove cookies sooner. Choose “Analytics settings” and then “No thanks” to stop this tool’s analytics and remove its Google Analytics cookies. This does not remove information already sent to Google or change preferences on the main website. Manage Mini Kit analytics.

When analytics is allowed on both the main website and this tool, Google’s short-lived link parameter may connect the visit between the main website and this tool. The five Mini Kit Pinterest campaign codes can also identify which Pin brought an allowed visit. We do not infer consent from these parameters, and a later email confirmation is not automatically attributed to the same visit.

Separately, our server keeps daily totals of successful PDF responses, distinguishing download versus open, new versus remembered access and documented test traffic. These totals contain no email, IP address, browser token or packing choices. They count prepared responses, not proof that a file was saved or read.

How long records stay.

PDF requests: Your email address and request dates support PDF access and help us resolve download or abuse reports. PDF access in a remembered browser lasts 30 days. This is not an automatic deletion deadline for your email or request record. When deciding whether to retain a PDF-only record, we consider whether remembered access is still valid and whether a related support request or security issue remains unresolved. PDF-only addresses are not added to the newsletter list.

Unconfirmed email requests: A confirmation link stops working after 48 hours. The request, consent wording and delivery status remain in our records; expiry does not delete them or make you a subscriber. Retention decisions depend on any pending confirmation, delivery problem, abuse report or dispute about the request.

Confirmed subscribers: We keep your address and subscription status while you remain subscribed. Unsubscribing stops future marketing messages but does not automatically erase your PDF record, consent history, delivery history or the record that prevents a second welcome email.

Consent, opt-out and delivery records: These records help us demonstrate your choices, investigate delivery problems, prevent duplicate messages and avoid adding an opted-out address again. We assess continued retention against those purposes and any applicable legal obligation or unresolved dispute. An opt-out record may need to remain for as long as it is needed to prevent unwanted email.

Manual deletion: The application currently has no scheduled deletion of email, consent, subscription or delivery records. They remain until manually reviewed and deleted. To request access, correction or deletion, email hello@thewanderwise.com. We will assess the request, explain any records that still need to be retained and coordinate deletion with our service providers where needed. Clearing browser storage or unsubscribing is not the same as requesting deletion of server records.

Who processes the information.

The Mini Kit and standalone newsletter form use OpenAI’s ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure to host contact and consent records. OpenAI processes published Site visitor data on our behalf under the ChatGPT Sites Data Processing Addendum. Resend processes recipient addresses, message content and delivery information under its Data Processing Addendum.

Resend states that stored customer data is held in the United States; choosing a European sending region does not change that storage location. Its DPA describes Standard Contractual Clauses and other arrangements for relevant international transfers. The Sites DPA separately describes safeguards for relevant EEA, Swiss and UK data. These provider arrangements do not replace any other transfer requirements that apply to us. You may contact hello@thewanderwise.com for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.

Resend’s published retention information describes 30-day email and log retention on its Free, Pro and Scale plans, with separate rules for backups and account closure. That period does not automatically delete the subscriber list or the Mini Kit’s own database records. We do not represent a cookie lifetime or an email-log period as a universal deletion deadline.

If you requested travel emails before, leaving the box unchecked on a later PDF download does not cancel that earlier request. You can use the email preference link or contact hello@thewanderwise.com.
